“ We went here as we wanted something quick on the way back to our hotel. When we walked in and sat down, our waitress notified us that there would be a small wait on our food due to an entire softball team walking in prior to us. We appreciated our waitress notifying us and giving us the notice, but we chose to stay due to other places getting ready to close anyways and the good reviews here. With that being said, we ordered and had our food within roughly 30 minutes. It may seem like a long time but for the party of softball individual ahead of us, it was really good timing for the kitchen. In addition, there was one waitress who appeared to be working majority of the time by herself taking care of the floor. Despite her noticeably looking stressed out by the rush of people who came in, her personality and customer service never wavered. She remained friendly and had a smile interacting with us and the table across from us with the unruly kids and constant nagging adults. Whoever the waitress is with black hair and glasses, you did a great job. Now, the food was good also. It was our first time trying gumbo and we both enjoyed it. I wished the gumbo would have been a bit spicier but I added Tabasco to my liking. Overall, it was a great experience and we enjoyed it. Side note: I will add that this restaurant is attached to a gas station. It is a separate business but keep that in mind when parking. The business is separate, but it’s a shared parking lot. ”

He talked us through the menu and told us about the amazing Boudin links for appetizers. The creole carbonara was phenomenal! So flavorful! Shrimp and fish fried to perfection. Martel has an amazing personality and shows amazing hospitality. So glad we came here to grab a bite to eat. ”

“ Delicious boudain balls. Loved the hamburger steak special with yummy Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes with gravy. Sis said her club sandwich was good. Mom had Pontchartrain pasta and twas very good. Nice atmosphere, cool art. I would recommend if you have some time to chill. ”
